UCS is committed to providing an excellent academic education, integrating Biblical principles into all areas of the curriculum. We utilize curriculum from Bob Jones University Press. (Click BJU Press Logo for more info!) It provides a comprehensive curriculum from Preschool through our Middle School department. Reading is emphasized and taught using a strong phonics approach. Mathematics combines the best of modern and traditional systems to provide an excellent mathematical base. Social Studies, English, Science, and Bible classes round out the core curriculum. All core subjects are taught from a Biblical worldview. Music, Spanish, and Physical Education are a part of the standard elementary curriculum too.

Students learn and practice new vocabulary, basic sentence structure, pronunciation, and culture of Spanish-speaking countries through the use of music, games, reading, conversation, and more. Classes utilize the interactive white board for audio-visual instruction. Kindergarten through sixth grade students have Spanish classes using the Bob Jones University Press curriculum, Pasaporte al Español. Seventh and eighth grade students use the BJU Spanish 1 high school level curriculum to prepare for greater mastery of the language.
This year's theme is "Camp Wanna Learn-a-Lotta" and is for ages 3-12. Starting on June 5th and goes to July 28th.
Chapel services are held weekly for 30 minutes at UCS. Students are lead in prayer, sing praise and worship songs, and listen to a brief message by local pastors and church leaders.
Before and After Care
Extended care options are available for students. Before Care is offered from 7 am through 7:45 am. After Care is offered from 3:30 to 5:30 pm. A snack is provided during the After Care program. Charges for extended care are $3 per hour and are not prorated.
